Save My Place | Load My Place

Author Notes:

Hey guys! I've been contemplating how to move forward, because as I'm sure you've all noticed, I haven't updated in a year! :'( I just don't have the capacity to make pages (like at all) right now, and I don't see that changing any time in the near future. So what I've decided to do is release all the sketched versions of my pages on a separate comic site HERE. I've only uploaded the first two for now. I want to include any notes that I think might be necessary to make the sketches make sense, but I don't want to upload a page a week or anything, it will come out pretty fast.

I actually also realized I had finished a page and was just sitting on it (maybe I had some idea that I was going to build a buffer?? lol) so here it is! Anyway, for those of you who care more about finding out where the story goes, I wanted to offer you the closure of reading the story even in a sketchy form. For those who want to wait for the finished pages, just don't click through! I'll hopefully have some capacity to complete the pages which I'll continue to post here when that happens. My ultimate goal is to get this comic printed someday, so I still very much want to get it all drawn. Someday.

Yay, it's back! And you are back :-)
Tbh, I thought this project was abandoned for good.

"Like, at all" sound pretty bad, alas. I've heard that babies are pretty demanding in terms of attention and other stuff... so... guesstimating... maybe the next page in about 4 years?

Anyway, best wishes, especially health-wise, for your family.

Yay! Yeah, this is something I really want to see to completion, even though it will probably take upwards of a decade.

I keep hoping the little guy is close to a stage where he can entertain himself, and sometimes he can, but there's something magnetic about mom sitting down at the computer to try to accomplish something.

Many thanks, and the same to you and yours!

Heh - "Mom is just sitting there, I'll entertain her a bit :D"

Thanks!! Semi-back- just getting the sketch pages out there and hoping I can post finished pages more often than once a year. DX

Hope you and yours are doing well, too! :)

I'm thrilled to get the sketch pages and also look forward to the finished version, whenever the shrimp allows. :P

Oh yay! I'm hoping they make enough sense to get the story across, and yes, that the shrimp will let me draw some comics. >:(

Welcome back! I'll think about it. Thank you so much either way!

Thank you!! Yeah, I definitely want to let people decide whether they want to engage with the sketches or stick to the finished product. I know it's not what any of us was hoping for and that it might ruin the experience for some.

Aaahhh you exist! I was just contemplating unsubscribing because my usual threshold is if a feed hasn't been updated in a year, probably it's unlikely it's coming back... but yay!

Yay!! Yeah, I still really care about it, it's just been a lot busier than I could have foreseen with a kiddo. It'll be slow going still, but I want it to continue to exist. :D

Thank you!! Currently it's having a 1 year old running around, which I don't expect to change anytime soon, but hopefully I'll get better at managing what little free time I have!

I really can't complain about long pauses, so I'll just say I'm glad your project is not abandoned. Best of luck!

"Now, now son, we can't have you running amok when the ship is already falling apart. It won't do your career any good if you get sucked out a hole in the hull that rusted through from lack of maintenance. Think like an engineer and be practical."

Glad to see an update from you and hear that you and your family are well! If the little guy is already a year old then time will likely speed up and sooner than you know it, you'll be shooed away from playtime. Who knows though, each kid has their idea of what they want for Mom-time, so just enjoy it while you can. :)
